Gary Senior
Head of Operations
Gary Senior is currently the Head of Operations of Air Products Qudra (APQ) – a Joint Venture between Air Products and Vision Invest. In his current role, Gary is responsible for overseeing and directing the operations, maintenance, and technical teams for the APQ assets. He ensures our operations, maintenance, and technical teams are developing and executing the strategies associated with safety, operations, maintenance, technical execution and development, reliability, efficiency, and development of our site personnel. Collaborating with the executive leadership, he supports in navigating the complex landscape of building, commissioning, and operating APQ assets, establishing teams that are world class in leadership, operational discipline, and project and maintenance execution contributing to the overall success, and sustainability.
Prior to joining APQ in July 2024, Gary was a 22-year veteran of Air Products and Chemicals Incorporated (APCI). His career began in 2002 when he joined the Air Products team in Baytown, Texas when he joined the operations team for the combined Air Separation, Carbon Monoxide, and Syngas operating facility. He was then selected to lead the operations team in commissioning an on-site Isothermal hydrogen reactor and refinery off-gas system. He then was selected to manage the LaPorte operations team during a period where they built, commissioned and started up the first large Air Separation Unit to be built on the site since 1979. Gary then held various plant and management roles in the Air Products Air Separation, Hydrogen, and Power Generation businesses. Since January of 2020 Gary was responsible for the management of Air Products and Chemicals industrial gas business for the United States Southern region providing leadership, development, and execution of pivotal strategies supporting over 80 operational assets and product distribution during a time of growth in the markets of liquid hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, helium, and argon business.
